He is also CEO of a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) ERS Co. in Los Altos, CA, USA, is Foreign Full Member (Academician) of the National Academy of Engineering, Ukraine (he was born in that country); Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Society of Optical Engineers (SPIE), and the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS); Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), the Institute of Physics (IoP), UK, and the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE); and Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Ephraim has authored 400+ publications (patents, technical papers, book chapters, books), presented numerous keynote and invited talks worldwide, and received many professional awards, including 1996 Bell Laboratories Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMTS) Award (for developing effective methods for predicting the reliability of complex structures used in AT&T and Lucent Technologies products), and 2004 ASME Worcester Read Warner Medal (for outstanding contributions to the permanent literature of engineering and laying the foundation of a new discipline “Structural Analysis of Electronic Systems”). Ephraim is the third “Russian American”, after S. Timoshenko and I. Sikorsky, who received this prestigious award. This year he received the 2019 IEEE Electronic Packaging Society (EPS) Field award for seminal contributions to mechanical reliability engineering and modeling of electronic and photonic packages and systems and Int. Microelectronic Packaging Society’s (IMAPS) Lifetime Achievement award for making exceptional, visible, and sustained impact on the microelectronics packaging industry and technology.

His research focus on Multiphase systems with a modified polymeric matrix, synthesis and properties. Crosslinking of polymers, especially polyolefins and rubbers. Nano composites with polymeric matrices, special experience with matrices of biodegradable plastics and rubbers. Modification of biodegradable plastics, physical, chemical, blending. Electro conductive polymeric composites. A member of Editorial Board of Plasty a kaucuk (Plastics and Rubber), Czech republic, member of Editorial board of Bentham Open Macromolecular Journal. More than 130 papers in peer reviewed international scientific journals (mainly CC),8 chapters in monographies, about 100 lectures in scientific conferences (including about 30 invited key and plenary lectures), 12 slovak patents, 3 European patents. Rūta Rimašauskienė in 2010 defended PhD theses in the field of Mechanical Engineering in Kaunas University of Technology. Currently she is involved as a researcher in M-ERA.net project “Additive Manufacturing of Continuous Fibers Reinforced Polymer Composite Materials for High Performance Structural Applications (2017-2019). Since 2013 Rūta works as Associated Professor at the Department of Production Engineering, Kaunas University of Technology. Monocrystals Yb14MnSb11 and its solid solutions with composition Yb14-Ñ… LnxMnSb11 , where published more than 300 scientific articles and six monographs. For more than 10 years, we have been working together with a professorSusan M Kauzlarich with 2 ISTC projects (project T-1597, T-2067ISTC). Currently, the professor M.Abdusalyamova is looking for 3 scientists working in these fields from the EU countries as partners for receiving the grant of the Horizon-20 fund

Dr Danyang Wang is currently an associate professor and Australian Research Council Future Fellow in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at UNSW, Sydney. He obtained his PhD degree in applied physics from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in December 2006. He is a materials scientist specialising in experimental design and optimization of a broad range of novel functional oxide thin films and nanostructures for nanoelectronic, photonic and energy-related applications. He has been at the forefront of understanding the processing techniques/conditions that control the materials properties, improving the performance of existing materials, and exploring new functionalities and their related device applications. He has published ~100 scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals and serves on organising committees of a number of national and international conferences.
